The S&P 500 on Tuesday dropped to a 2-week low and closed lower on the unexpected -5 point drop in the Sep Richmond Fed manufacturing survey to -5, weaker than expectations of +2 to 2 and the steepest pace of contraction in 2-1/2 years.
