Big Daddy's - Flanigan's Enterprises - Barchart's Chart of the Day

Flanigan's Enterprises (BDL) is the Barchart Chart of the Day.  If you every lived or visited in south Florida you probably met Jim Flanigan or had a drink in one of his Big Daddy;s lounges.  The stock has a Trend Spotter buy signal, a Weighted Alpha of 92.35 and gained 86.60% this year.

The Chart of the Day belongs to my nostalgia pick of the day Flanigan's Enterprises (BDL).  I found the stock by sorting the All Time High list for the highest technical buy signals and spotted it at the top of the list.  If you ever lived in South Florida then you probably met Jim Flanigan or at least had a drink in one of his Big Daddy's Lounges.  He's gone but the legend lives on. Since the Trend Spotter signaled a buy on 7/30 the stock gained 32.92%.

Flanigan's Enterprises, Inc. owns and/or operates restaurants with lounges, package liquor stores and an entertainment oriented clubs (collectively the ``units``). All of the Company's package liquor stores, restaurants and clubs are operated on leased properties. They operate under the names ``Flanigan's Seafood Bar and Grill'' restaurants and ``Big Daddy's'' retail liquor stores.

OK there is only one reason for a stock that has languished for so long to suddenly move like this.  I look forward to seeing who is about to announce a buy out offer.
