Barchart.com's Chart of the Day - Expedia (EXPE)
The "Chart of the Day" is Expedia (EXPE), which showed up on Friday's list of stocks that had a new "Buy" signal from the Barchart "TrendSpotter" trading system. Expedia on Friday rallied by 9.31% to post a new 3-1/2 year high. In recent news on the stock, Expedia late last Thursday reported Q2 EPS of 50 cents, which was above the market consensus of 49 cents. The Q2 report prompted Citigroup on Friday to reiterate its Buy rating and raise its target to $36 from $33. ThinkEquity reiterated its Hold rating but raised its target by 22% to $33 from $27. Expedia, with a market cap of $7.9 billion, is one of the world's leading travel services companies with brands including Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Hotwire, Expedia Corporate Travel, Trip Advisor and Classic Custom Vacations.
