Barchart.com's Chart of the Day - Kraft Foods (KFT)
The "Chart of the Day" is Kraft Foods (KFT), which showed up on Monday's Barchart "NYSE 12-month high" list. Kraft on Monday rallied by 1.14% and posted a new 8-3/4 year high of $32.09. TrendSpotter has been long Kraft since March 29 at $31.27. In recent news on the stock, Kraft management on Feb 22 said it expects long-term organic net revenue growth of more than 5%, operating income margins in the mid to high teens, and operating EPS growth of 9-11%. JPMorgan on March 21 downgraded Kraft to Neutral from Overweight and removed the stock from its Focus List due to concerns about the company's North American performance, although the stock started a sharp rally just after that call. Kraft, with a market cap of $55 billion, is the largest US-based branded food and beverage company and the second largest branded global food and beverage company. Brands include Kraft, Nabisco, Oscar Mayer, Post, Maxwell House, Philadelphia, and Jacobs.
